In the softcore version, the are jarring cuts in the musical score from where the male hardcore stuff was removed. i think it's just that the ladies didn't want to film hardcore material in the first place. I have seen both of them in non-pornographic movies.

Score (1974) - This is one of those 1970s or 1980s softcore films that also had explicit hardcore scenes, but for some reason the harder version was lost through time. Yes, there still are hardcore male scenes accessible, but the female-female or male-female coupling scenes aren't available any longer. I suspect the director wanted them removed or destroyed long ago.
